Gosh, the last time I blogged, I was getting ready to visit June in Oceanside. I think you all know she was safe and sound, not in danger from the fires although she was inundated with smoke and ashes. Other than the fact the she beat me at Kings Corners and Rummy Cubes, the visit was great.
Life continues to be busy with the Church Foundation--yes, I just finished drafting minutes from yet another meeting. The Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation had another Board meeting at the place called Boring, Oregon--and I thought Peculiar Missouri was a hoot. Anyway, Boring is the home of one of the two campuses in the nation for training Guide Dogs for the Blind. What a lovely sight tucked among the trees.
No talk about Oregon football as we are mourning the loss of our star quarterback, Dennis Dixson, to a torn ACL. I take consolation that I have two other teams I can support in the bowl race: Mizzou and Kansas. Also the Packers are looking good this year so I am getting my weekly dose of football.
I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving. I'll we with Conrad and Corinne for the festivities. We'll probably overeat and fall asleep as most old folks do.
